Event Description

The African American Authors Book Club (AAABC) meets on the second Thursday of the month from 6 pm until 7 pm. Join in energetic discussion and camaraderie over books by African American authors. 

The African American Authors Book Club (AAABC) has been reading books by African American or African authors since 1996.  While selected books are by African American authors, the club members are racially and culturally diverse and join together each month to enjoy intellectual discussions and camaraderie. All are welcome.

  • June 13 - Let us Descend by Jesmyn Ward
  • July 11 - Wild Women and the Blues by Denny Bryce

  • October 10 - The Black Angels by Maria Smilios
  • November 14 - Night Crawling by Leila Mottley
  • December 12 - They Tell Me of a Home by Daniel Black
