Food and Nutrition Information

The Academy provides a wealth of nutrition information for consumers and the public.  Information includes nutrition fact sheets, consumer questions and answers, good nutrition reading list and more.  Consumers seeking the services of a registered dietitian can use the Find a Nutrition Professional feature.  Links are available to many other nutrition-oriented sites.

The Academy works with state and federal agencies on public policy issues affecting consumers and the practice of dietetics, including Medicare coverage of medical nutrition therapy, etc.
