Who We Are

Bedford Department of Social Services provides a wide range of supportive/rehabilitative services and financial assistance to needy and eligible children, families and adults. Some of the assistance programs are auxiliary grants, disaster assistance, energy assistance (fuel, crisis, cooling, and weatherization), food stamps, general relief, medical assistance, temporary assistance for needy families, and caregivers grants.

Adult services available are an assessment for an assisted living facility, pre-admission screening for a nursing home, companion services, homemaker services, adult daycare, nutrition information, and case management.
