Generations Adult Day Care Center, Cedar Bluff

Generations Adult Day Care offers daytime care for adults who have Alzheimer’s Disease, post-stroke symptoms, age-related disabilities, or other needs that require assistance or supervision. 

The Generations Adult Day Care Program is designed to provide relief for caregivers while giving participants the opportunity to interact socially. Activities are designed to encourage mental and physical stimulation as participants' abilities allow. Generations integrates the wisdom and insight of the elderly with the energy and enthusiasm of the young. Non-ambulatory residents welcomed. Capacity is 36.

The program provides a trained staff of nurses, personal care aides, activity director and volunteers who coordinate a wide range of activities. These activities include current event discussions, music, art, games, crafts, gardening, and exercises designed for individual needs with periodic rest and relaxation times.

Participants are provided a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks that are within their diet requirements. Generations Child Day Care is an inter-generational day care center providing time for children to spend with Adult Day Care participants.
