Volunteer Made Wheelchair Ramps

SAWs Virginia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of SAWs Inc., a national, ecumenical mission that builds wheelchair ramps for persons with disabilities who cannot afford one on their own. The SAWs ramp design allows people from teens to seniors to participate. The ramps typically can be completed in 4-6 hours. Working alongside churches who want to extend their outreach in the community; social service agencies that serve the indigent disabled in need of a ramp; other non-profits who serve the indigent disabled; and businesses looking to give back to the community; all to find and change the lives of long-term disabled consumers who are 60% or less of the Average Median Income (AMI) within their area of residence.
