Joining Generations is a buddy program that connects older adults with background-checked friends within the New River Valley community with students and faculty at Virginia Tech. The program includes either in-person or virtual visits. A visit can be a weekly phone call or video call between the older adult and the friend. A friend may also be able to help with developing technology skills to help older adults stay connected with friends and family and connect them with local resources.
