Who We Are

Bay Transit is a division of Bay Aging, founded on the belief that every citizen must be assured accessible, safe transportation to the destination of their choice, without regard to disability, age, or economic status. On-demand public transportation and fixed routes are provided throughout the Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, New Kent, and Charles City Counties. This service allows riders to get to work, medical appointments, shop for groceries, attend social engagements, and more.

Bay Transit has 3 offices: the New Kent / Charles City Office that serves New Kent, Charles City, King & Queen, King William, and the Town of West Point. Gloucester Office that serves Gloucester and Mathews. Warsaw office that serves Essex, Lancaster, Middlesex, Northumberland, Richmond, Westmoreland, and the Town of Colonial Beach.

Call 877-869-6046  to schedule a ride.   Bay Transit is running three deviated fixed public transportation routes.  Rides are 0.50 cents, and transfers from other Bay Transit transportation are free. Please have the exact change. Drivers do not carry money to give change. A booklet of 10 tickets can be purchased for $12.00
