Who We Are

At Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg Habitat for Humanity, volunteers and approved homeowners work together to build homes and make home repairs and modifications.

Exterior single-day home repair events occur in specific neighborhoods in the service area. The neighborhood is determined by cities in Hampton, Newport News, and Williamsburg. This program is in partnership with the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority. The home improvement grant program can provide as much as $20,000 per house for curb appeal, and exterior improvements.  Approved homeowners pay a small portion toward the work.

A Veteran homeowner with a DD214 can apply to be nominated for a new roof for free. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Please call for more information. The Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of  Habitat for Humanity International.
