Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care, Abingdon

Deer Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing offers skilled nursing services to the community. Skilled nursing care is generally offered after a hospital stay and is usually covered by Medicare, Part A. An interdisciplinary care team will develop a plan of care. Services may include post-surgical care, stroke recovery, IV therapy services, respiratory therapy, oxygen therapy, wound management, ileostomy care, or tube feeding services.

Intermediate care services include daily monitoring and management of a condition that cannot be provided in a home setting. These services include medication management, assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and catheter or ostomy care. Daily nursing restorative care may include incontinence care, bowel, and bladder training and ambulation training, and assistance.

 The capacity is 119 residents.
