Domestic Violence Shelter, Madeline's House

Madeline's House is an emergency shelter for domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their eligible children. Services provided include:

• emergency transportation to the shelter
• personalized case management to each woman entering the shelter
• assures the availability of individual counseling for each resident
• holds regular support groups for residents on topics from personal growth to basic life and job skills
• assists residents in obtaining legal service and provides court advocacy
• ensures transportation to necessary appointments such as health care, counseling, social service, and court mandated appointments.
• educates residents about issues of domestic violence and sexual assault, and about the resources available to them
• assists with job searches and job seeking skills
• provides follow-up care to departing residents and
• works continually to provide community education and information about the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault

Residents of Madeline's House may receive food and clothing. We also provide outreach services to community organizations and schools.
