Jefferson Park Community Center

Lynchburg Parks and Recreation operates nine community centers. Note: Jefferson Park Community Center will begin renovations in the summer of 2019.  Estimated time of renovation is one year.   Call 434-455-5858 for other centers.

The Jefferson Park Community Center has a little bit to offer everyone. Recreation programs include after school program, summer camp program and programs for adults ages 50 +.  Indoor amenities include foosball, ping-pong, pool tables, kitchen, table and chairs. Outdoor amenities include basketball, horseshoe pits, amphitheater, playground and walking trail.



Call for information about the Jefferson Park picnic shelter that seats up to 80 people and has access to

 a grill, picnic tables and trash cans. Electricity and water are not available at the shelter. The shelter is handicapped accessible. Please check on the availability of the restrooms. The rental period is from 9:00 am to park closing on the day of the rental.
