Medicare Fraud Hotline

Office of the Inspector General provides information on whether or not a situation is Medicare fraud and accepts complaints and reports of Medicare fraud.



If you suspect fraud or abuse when you use Medicare, or if someone tries to sell you a product or service that you do not need, report it.



To file a fraud complaint by e-mail, send information to HHSTips@oig.hhs.gov. To report a complaint by mail, send to Office of the Inspector General, HHS TIPS Hotline, P O Box 23489, Washington DC 20026. Call 1-800-447-8477 (800-HHS-TIPS, English and Spanish speaking operators on duty Monday through Friday 8AM-5:30PM Eastern Time.
