Who We Are
The James House offers emergency shelter to those affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking. As part of a state-wide network of accredited shelters, James House provides emergency shelter for women, men, and children in danger of domestic violence and sexual violence.
The James House provides at no cost 1) 24 hour crisis line staffed by trained volunteers; 2) peer counseling (individual, couples, pet-assisted and art-assisted) offered by trained support staff; 3) support groups offered weekly and monthly; 4) hospital/court accompaniment 24/7; and 5) safety planning.
