Who We Are
The Shenandoah Valley Social Services, Western Augusta and Staunton, provides programs and services that promote self-reliance and protection through the provision of community-based services and help families meet basic needs.
Some programs available are adult services, adult protective services, companion service, community-based care, and nursing home placement, child care assistance, child protective services, daycare provider information, energy assistance program, food stamps, foster care services, general relief, auxiliary grants, state and local hospitalization, Cardinal Care Medicaid eligibility, Cardinal Care Medicaid long term care, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare (VIEW) and vehicle donation program.
Services are designed to allow the adults to remain in their own homes as long as possible and to enable them to function as independently as possible. Adults are the focus of the service delivery and the worker preserves and protect their right to make their own choices.
